My Son was exhibiting troubled behaviour at school and at home and Courage2Be Counselling was recommended to me by a friend. My Son has had about a 4 months of sessions (in person and remotely) and wow what a difference. These sessions gave him space to speak, open up and be heard. If you want a counsellor who will understand you and really help you work out complex problems she really will do that. She is So amazing with children with her therapeutic play sessions. Before they know it they are talking about things and working it out whilst happily playing. The sessions have had such a positive impact on my son. After a long thorough search I found Janine to be the best one (in my opinion) From day one she has been patient, great support and a fantastic listener. My teenage daughter has suffered from depression and anxiety for many years and has always been under camh nhs services but at the beginning of lockdown I could see my daughter going down hill fast and felt I needed to do something. Janine has worked along side my daughter weekly and kept in contact with me regularly. Her rates are good and when my daughter has decided last minute she can't face the session Janine is more than understanding and has never charged me for that, which I really appreciate. I was first introduced to Janine by my mum due to having severed suicide thoughts and depression I honestly can say that Janine saved my life she helped me through my struggles, was the listening ear I needed and helped me see the world through a brighter light. I really was sceptical at the beginning thinking this lady wouldn’t understand and that no one could really know how it feels to be that low in life. But she changed my view completely over a couple of months and I can honestly say to anyone suffering with depression to talk it out with someone and not being someone I knew or family was perfect for me she helped me find my self worth again showed me that I have so much to achieve and that the past is exactly where it needs to be (behind me) Thank you Janine for being my hope Xx
