Hi, i’m Janine and thank you for considering making an enquiry. I have over 15 years experience working with children and young people within an education and care setting and feel very passionate about supporting 5-18 year-olds with their mental health and well being. Courage2Be helps young people to connect with the true essence of who they are and make sense of their world, in order to find their courage to thrive and learn. Please complete the school referral form for more information on how Courage2Be can help in your school.
Since 2017, I have worked as a volunteer counsellor at Place2be, a children’s mental health charity based in London that provides counselling in primary and secondary schools. I am also affiliated with Willow Therapy, based in Tring and Challenging Behaviour based in Dunstable where I currently work with children and adults.
I have an Enhanced DBS and qualifications in children’s counselling and I am fully aware of the need to adhere to school policies and procedures whilst on site. I understand that my goal is to support the child with their mental and emotional wellbeing in order to primarily enhance their learning ability and potential, as well as their social development. I also understand the benefits of a whole school approach and keeping your appointed person, parents and teachers informed on general themes that may support the child during this process. I am therefore happy to work in this way if required. Please see our case study article and Safeguarding policy. Safeguarding is paramount and so I look forward to discussing a way of working together that ensures this for the child.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of Courage2Be working within your School then please complete the School referral form on this page and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
